Leila de Vos Van Steenwijk (Christie’s)
Leila is the Regional Managing Director Asian Art, Europe at Christie’s. After graduating, she joined Christie’s Asian department in Amsterdam and headed the department for 10 years before becoming Managing Director of the Dutch office. One of the highlights of her career was discovering a rare 14th century Yuan blue and white jar, which at £15,7 million became at the time the most expensive Chinese art work ever sold at auction. In 2013, she moved to London to take up her current role. Leila travels extensively and takes sales as an auctioneer in Hong Kong, New York, Paris and London.
Leila will lead the Her Stories live auction on Tuesday 13 November 2018 at The Arts Club.
Frame London is a family run framing company based in London. Frame’s team of craftspeople specialise in bespoke and conservation framing for museums, galleries and individuals with an emphasis on contemporary art. The team has multiple years of experience working in museums and galleries and Frame is contracted to supply frames to The Victoria and Albert Museum, Whitechapel gallery and the Institute of Contemporary Arts. Frame also regularly supplies conservation frames to the British Museum, Royal Academy of Arts and many commercial galleries and artist’s studios across the UK and abroad.

The Parlour at sketch is the venue for the Her Stories discussion Women for Women Collecting Art, addressing the challenges for women and minorities in the art world. Tickets are free and can be reserved here.
