Ahead of the Her Stories art exhibition, running November 8th - 12th, and our live art auction and dinner, taking place on November 13th at the Dover Street Arts Club, London, we are thrilled to bring you a series of events generously hosted by our network of supporters.
How to start an art collection
The Directors of Bosse and Baum Gallery, Lana Churchill and Alexandra Warder, are running a workshop on how to start an art collection. Hosted by Soho House, Dean Street, London, this event takes place on September 25th and will focus on collecting work by womxn artists.
Jenn Nkiru: Artist Screening
Artist and Director, Jenn Nkiru is supporting Her Stories with a very special screening at The Laylow Members' Club in Notting Hill. Jenn will join Jemma Desai for a conversation about women in image-making across the film and music industry. Tickets are £5 and all sales will be donated to Her Stories.
Art by womxn & minorities
On October 16th, 2018, London's renowned Sketch restaurant in Mayfair will host a discussion among London collectors and gallerists on the challenges and importance of collecting art by womxn and minority group artists. Presented by Her Stories.
Auction launch drinks reception
A drinks reception to mark the opening of the online auction, hosted by collector, writer and independent curator, Marcelle Joseph. By invitation only.
How can you help?
The live exhibition of art works will open at Protein Studios, Shoreditch on November 8th with a discussion to introduce the charities and the issues they address. Please attend for advice, guidance and ideas for how you can take action and support women refugees, asylum seekers and survivors of trafficking in the UK.
Her Stories presents a very special pARTy with live music, performance and a bespoke DJ set supported by Boiler Room. All in celebration of womxn artists. Drinks from Absolut, InBev and Charitea. From 7pm until late. Come early to catch the live entertainment curated by Queer CAMPerVan.
